Integrity

When explaining Integrity to a child I like to tell them it’s doing the right thing even when no one is looking. It's obeying their parents and their teachers, even when they're not being watched

Doing the right thing, hummm, than what is the difference between honesty & integrity you may be asking.... they are quite similar...

As true integrity actually requires honesty. According to the dictionary, honesty is "truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness; freedom from deceit or fraud." Integrity is "adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty." The difference, therefore, is that honesty simply means telling the truth, while integrity means having high moral character and living by a strict set of ethics and principals (i.e., doing the right thing, whether it benefits you or not). You can have honesty without integrity, but you cannot have integrity without honesty, as by a middle school teacher on www.enotes.com.

From a Coaching standpoint:

When looking at who we are being, without integrity, nothing works. When I coach from a Holistic vantage point and either finances, relationships, personal , etc is NOT working, look to where your integrity is out. By looking at three out of integrity's a day and putting in the missing, other aspects of your life will gently be guided back into place.

For example, you said you were going to pay your bills today, today came and went...tomorrow your too busy, etc....by making the time (check your time management) and do what you said you were going to do, you not only will rest easier, it’s out of your space allowing you the freedom to be. Organize that closet, take time for you to play.... Three things per day could change your world!

Who are you choosing to be??

Namaste and gratitude,

Karen
